As an IFA I am able to review a client's complete financial situation and advise accordingly knowing I have a full picture.
Whether re-mortgaging or moving home it is often wise to seek independent advice or obtain a second opinion on the best high street rate you have seen advertised, as buying a home is often the biggest financial decision people make in their lives. Mortgages can be complex as there are so many choices to be made.
Initially we will have a meeting and discuss your objectives, what type of product would be suitable and establish a budget to work within. We can then independently search the whole of the market using the latest software. We then present our recommendations and go through the pros and cons. As the saying goes, 'there is no such thing as a free lunch'; with a mortgage if you are getting a low interest rate there will probably be a hefty arrangement fee and/or early repayment charge. Once we are happy with the product the application is placed directly with the lender and followed through to completion.
The initial appointment is free and in most circumstances we will not charge a fee, but instead receive commission from the lender. However, you have the option to pay a fee if you prefer.
We can also advise whether it may be possible to reduce the cost of the policies which support your mortgage, such as protection for your life and income. We can advise on whether the same or similar cover might be available for you at a lower premium
